School Clubs

Dean After School Club

Dean After School Club is a friendly After School Club which caters for all children from Reception to Year 6 (and sometimes Nursery pupils too). The club offers a wide range of activities for the children in a relaxed atmosphere.

All children are collected from the classroom by staff and provided with a drink and healthy snack at the start of the club.  Our 'interest clubs' run for the first hour (with collection from 4:20-4:30pm) and these vary each half term but usually include at least 2 sports clubs along with craft/art and other skills or interests such as ICT, Lego or Nature - see school newsletter for full details of current clubs.

The Club then continues to 5.30pm five days a week.  The Club is open to any child that is a pupil of the school (from 3 years up - please check for Nursery pupils).

Children from other schools are welcome to use this service. Please speak to a member of our office staff to complete the necessary registration.

Charges: £4.00 to 4:30pm and £8.50 for longer (collection any time from 4:30-5:00pm, or later to 5:30pm by prior arrangement).

After the interest club has finished, the children have the option to play with other toys, games and often (if the weather is good) go outside to the adventure playground or play on the field.  They can also be supported with completing homework.

The club is run by teaching assistants who work within the school so there is always a familiar face for children.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club runs from 7.30am to 8:30am five mornings a week and is open to any child that is a pupil of the school. All children are provided with a drink and healthy breakfast and take part in 'Morning Move it'.

Charges: £3.50 per session

The club is run by teaching assistants who work within the school and is open to pupils from Reception age to Year 6.
